A New Urban Adventure Landmark: DOMERRY and Cartoony Create the Shanghai Safari Flagship Store
DOMERRY and Cartoony have created a 3,000-square-meter Safari flagship store in Shanghai, positioning it as a new urban adventure destination. Inspired by the African savanna, the venue combines landmark animal installations, lighting and sound, customized play equipment, and interactive learning zones to deliver immersive exploration and “learning through play” for families. The differentiated concept enriches the commercial venue's tenant mix, attracts family traffic, and demonstrates DOMERRY's ability to deliver customized amusement solutions. The Safari concept can combine an indoor jungle gym for kids, an indoor sand pool for kids, a rainbow net for adventure playgrounds, and imaginative kids play area design ideas within one educational journey.
Creating a New Urban Adventure Landmark
DOMERRY and Cartoony joined forces on this occasion to build the Safari flagship shop in Shanghai. The project is a new landmark for urban adventures, located at the core of commercial space, with the primary focus on parent-child gardens. As an important project of both parties at the playground, this cooperation fully integrates DOMERRY ' s deep-farming experience in the area of equipment customization, as well as the mature resource system of the cartoonist at the end of the chain of play, precisely targeting the demand for the upgrading of the leisure consumption of current family guests in order to explore the central theme of the differentiated experience. The whole process that the project has designed to advance in the first place has been designed around the core demands of the parent-child group. This collaboration is also an important practice of DOMERRY tour in the output of customized play solutions, with the aim of further expanding the matrix dimensions of the parent-child play product through the project, which seeks to provide urban families with an entirely new place of leisure away from their daily scenes, and to fill the gap in the region ' s immersional adventure-type parent-child practices.
A 3,000-Square-Meter Immersive African Savanna Experience
The Safari flagship shop in Shanghai plans an overall 3,000 square-square-square space, with the African steppe as the basis for the scene, to create a full-dimensional atmosphere of immersion exploration. Space features such as mammoths, giraffes and other iconic landscapes, coupled with acoustic PV design to fit the scenes, allow visiting families to carry their children through the African steppes for one second, as if they were a real field adventure. The whole space is free of the flat, modular design of traditional father-child gardens, which is based on a 3D scene to build an enhanced immersion, either in the grinding of the scene details or in the design of the swimming line, so that the family can feel a rich immersion in the moment when it enters space, and enjoy the pleasure of being in its place.
Interactive Zones Bring Learning Through Play to Life
As the primary parent-child nature park, the Safari flagship shop in Shanghai has set up a special interactive exhibition area, all of which is built around core design concepts learned by playing. The interactive exhibition area combines the content of the science with the depth of the play experience and allows children to naturally acquire biological, geo-related and interesting knowledge in the exploration of animal-related scenes such as mammoths and giraffes, and avoid the dullness of traditional science content. The equipment customizations take full account of the interactive needs of children of different ages, and the safety and taste of all facilities are optimized through multiple rotations, ensuring that when the project is landed, it truly meets the dual needs of the family for play and learning, and that each adventure becomes a practical and rewarding experience.
A Differentiated Format Revitalizes Commercial Space
The Safari flagship shop in Shanghai, as a parent-child park on the subject of adventures, injects a whole new business dynamic into urban commercial space. The current commercial space generally faces the development pains of homogenization of content, with the project landing at the core of its competitiveness, with the immersion experience, precisely hitting the leisure pain point of the parent-child family, enriching both the content supply level of the commercial space and providing tourists with entirely new options different from traditional play projects. As a new landmark for urban adventures, the project is expected to serve not only the surrounding family and children but also as a popular option for urban leisure, further magnifying the radiation capacity and passenger adsorption in commercial space and meeting the two-way values of operators, businesses and consumers.
